Singapore and Hong Kong, 1 April 2026 – China Everbright Water Limited (“Everbright Water” or the “Company”; stock codes: U9E.SG and 1857.HK), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that Everbright Water has recently secured Huai’an Huaiyin Eastern District Waste Water Treatment Project (“Huaiyin Project”) Phase III and Jiangyin High-tech Zone Waste Water Treatment Plant (“Jiangyin High-tech Plant”) Phase I Stage 2 EPC+O (Engineering Design, Procurement, Construction and Operation) Project in Jiangsu Province. The successive securing of these two projects marks a solid step forward for Everbright Water in deepening its presence in the core region of the Yangtze River Delta and expanding its efforts in the water environment management sector. It also underscores the Company’s responsibility as a leading environmental protection service provider in promoting regional water environment management and protection, and in supporting high-quality regional development.
Huaiyin Project Phase III, with an investment of approximately RMB90 million, will be invested in, constructed and operated under a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. Its concession period will expire concurrently with Huaiyin Project Phase I and II in July 2050. Huaiyin Project Phase III has a designed daily municipal waste water treatment capacity of 20,000 m3, with effluent quality complying with the Grade A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (DB32/4440-2022) under the Jiangsu Provincial Local Standard. Everbright Water secured Huaiyin Project Phases I and II in 2019 and 2021, respectively, involving a total investment of approximately RMB306 million and a total designed daily municipal waste water treatment capacity of 100,000 m3, with effluent quality complying with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002). Securing Huaiyin Project Phase III marks the continued deepening of Everbright Water’s cooperation with Huai’an City in the water sector, laying a solid foundation for improving the local water environment quality and protecting the aquatic ecosystem by further enhancing the Company’s regional waste water treatment capacity.
Jiangyin High-tech Plant Phase I has a designed daily industrial waste water treatment capacity of 30,000 m3 and is being constructed in two stages, each with a daily treatment capacity of 15,000 m3. In 2023, a consortium led by Everbright Water (the “Consortium”) secured Jiangyin High-tech Plant Phase I Stage 1 EPC+O Project. Such project completed construction and commenced operation in the second half of 2024, providing professional and stable industrial waste water treatment services to the microelectronics industrial park in the Jiangyin High-tech Zone. Jiangyin High-tech Plant Phase I Stage 2 EPC+O Project, also awarded to the Consortium, will cover design, procurement, construction, and operation. Everbright Water will be responsible for the provision of operation and management services of the project and will be entitled to receive operation and management service fees over an operating period of six years. The Company’s subsidiary, Xuzhou Municipal Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., will undertake the project’s design work, while the other Consortium members will be responsible for the procurement and construction of the project. Upon the completion of construction work and commencement of operation of Jiangyin High-tech Plant Phase I Stage 2 EPC+O Project, leveraging Everbright Water’s technical expertise and operational experience in the industrial waste water treatment, Jiangyin High-tech Plant Phase I will better meet the industrial waste water treatment needs of enterprises in the park, providing strong support for industrial upgrading and the development of a national-level green industrial park in the Jiangyin High-tech Zone.
In addition, in January 2026, Everbright Water signed a contract to supply linear valve equipment for Phase I of Henan Anyang Municipal Waste Water Treatment Centre, providing equipment support to improve local waste water treatment quality and efficiency, as well as to advance the plant’s intelligent upgrade. In March, the Company also secured the defluorination process for the industrial waste water treatment upgrade and supporting pipeline network construction project in the Yixing Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu Province, contributing to the green upgrade of the zone’s electronics industry.
